Zippy was a popular character on the kids TV show Rainbow, famous for having a zip for a mouth. Due to his loud behaviour and silly voice, other characters would often zip his mouth shut, leaving him unable to speak. Zippy claimed to be the best at everything, and was always right. He also spoke his mind and liked to be the centre of attention. Zippy has a cult following among those who watched the show as a child in the 70's and 80's.
